Assault Shirts

The "One Year As A Lion" T-Shirt was a collaborative design done by John Staniforth and Tim Toomey. The shirt was originally inspired by a quote from Led Zeppelin’s legendary guitarist Jimmy Page.

“I’d rather live one year as a lion, than a thousand as a sheep”.

The lion is the king of the jungle, the top of the food chain, the dominating force in its element. The lion is an individual, distinct from its associates; he does not have the luxury of being able to hide amongst a crowd of meekly similar and indistinguishable others. He does not have anonymity; he is not a serial number only slightly different than those before and those after.
